UGO NESPOLO
Was born in Mosso Santa Maria, in the province of Biella, on 29 August 1941. His compositions are close to Pop Art and Neo-Dadaism due to the constant search for ironic and transgressive content. This is evident in the puzzles and toys produced since the Seventies and in the pictorial works often accompanied by rhymes and poems. The artist loves to experiment with the use of different materials, including precious ones such as silver and mother-of-pearl, and particular techniques, such as inlay and collage. Always looking for new meanings to attribute to everyday objects, the artist assigns constant references to current events in his works of art. Great innovator, Ugo Nespolo lives and works in Turin.
